Prior to that he served as the Chief, Health Administration Service (HAS), at the Orlando VA Healthcare System. Mr. Turner has served in official interim roles as Acting, Associate Medical Center Director for the Orlando VA Healthcare System. He previously served in the role of Associate Medical Center Director for the Fayetteville, North Carolina VAMC in VISN 6 for one year.  

Mr. Turner graduated from the University of Florida (UF) in 1996 and immediately began his VA career at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center in 1996. During his VHA career, he has worked at four of the seven VA Medical Center campus locations in the VISN 8 Network. 

Mr. Turner is a graduate of the Central Florida Leadership Development Program (CFLDP), Leadership VA (LVA) program, VISN 8 Network Succession Planning Training Program Initiative (Medical Administration Officer) and a current member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
