He first joined the VA family in 2013 as the Boiler Plant Supervisor in Engineering Service. He spent the next several years working in various Engineering leadership roles, including the Chief of Maintenance and Operations and the Assistant Chief of Engineering. During this time, he was detailed to several leadership roles across the Medical Center, including the Acting Chief of Environmental Management and the Acting Chief of Workforce Development.  

As a lifelong learner, he enrolled in a Healthcare Administration program at Indiana Wesleyan University in early 2020 and completed the program in February of 2022. This launched into a career change where he served as the Assistant Chief of Patient Business Service and transitioned to the Chief role in April of 2021. In this role, he led a group of dedicated staff in the business office of Ambulatory Care and Processing, Health Information Management, and the Care Coordination Center. Prior to coming to the VA, he worked various roles for the Department of Defense as a civilian employee and is a Veteran of the United States Navy.

He and his wife, Brandy, live in Beavercreek, Ohio with their two children, AJ and Harper.
