Dr. DeFrancesco previously served as Regional Director of Health Technology Services for Crothall Healthcare and Technical Advisor for the World Health Organization. She has also served as VISN 10’s Chief Biomedical Engineer and Healthcare Technology Officer.

Dr. DeFrancesco earned her Doctorate in Health Administration with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Capella University in Minneapolis. She also holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami.

Dr. DeFrancesco was a 2020 Woman of the Year candidate with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Bizwomen’s 2019 Headliner in Government and Public Service, and was VHA’s 2016 Chief Biomedical Engineer of the Year.
