The specialty of Endocrinology focuses on disorders associated with hormones and the organs that secrete them. At the Detroit VA Healthcare System, the doctors and other professionals in our Endocrinology service manage and treat patients with the following medical conditions:

  • Hyper- and hypo-thyroidism
  • Thyroid nodules
  • Hyper- and hypo-calcemia
  • Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease
  • Pituitary disease
  • Hypogonadism and Transgender Hormone Management
  • Adrenal disease
  • Diabetes Mellitus

Our Endocrinology team is available for inpatient consults as well as outpatient appointments.

To receive evaluation or treatment, a referral from a primary care provider is necessary.
