Some of the most common problems with which we deal include pneumonia, blood-stream infections, diabetic foot infections, osteomyelitis (bone), and infections related to surgery. In addition, Infectious Disease Practitioners partner with home health care services in the management of Veterans needing home administration of intravenous antibiotics to finish treatment courses started during a hospitalization. Our Division provides primary care for Veterans with HIV and AIDS for which we have support staff that is familiar with the special needs of this population. Our clinic prides itself on short wait times for appointments with new patients accessing care within three to four weeks for routine issues, and much shorter times for more urgent issues.
