As the ADPCS, she is responsible for the clinical and administrative operations within Social Work, Nursing, Sterile Processing, and Chaplain Services.
Ms. Strouse began her career by commissioning as an Army Nurse Corp Officer after attending Army ROTC at University of Utah while obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She served eight years in the Army with one deployment to Iraq. In 2013, she obtained her master’s in Nursing with an emphasis in leadership of healthcare organizations.
She has been a federal employee for 17 years, serving in a variety of leadership and clinical staff RN positions both in the military and the VA in a number of settings including Critical, Acute and Ambulatory Care. Ms. Strouse is passionate about customer service of both her internal and external customers, leading positive change, developing strong teams/professional coalitions and, most importantly, VA’s mission of caring for Veterans.
