He has served as a senior executive in civilian post-acute rehabilitation hospitals.  Additionally, he has experience as an Assistant Director with the Oklahoma City Veterans Health Care System. Mr. Woody is a graduate of the VA’s inaugural Health Care Executive Fellowship program (HCEF) and completed his one-year fellowship at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, Texas in August of 2013. Prior to the fellowship, he served as a Regional Operations Director in the Memphis, Tennessee market for DaVita Dialysis, Inc., managing the operations of 21 dialysis clinics. 

Mr. Woody served in the United States Army as a Medical Service Corps Officer for over 20 years, retiring in September 2007 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his career he held various leadership and staff positions from the platoon level to service at the Secretary of the Army level. 

Mr. Woody graduated from the University of Memphis in 1987, with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In 1997, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University. He is currently pursuing an Education Doctorate (Ed. D) degree at Baylor University.  Mr. Woody is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a recipient of the U.S. Army Order of Military Medical Merit.

Mr. Woody and his wife, Major (Retired) Tezra Woody, have three adult children, Brandon, Joseph, and Taylor.
