As Associate Director for Patient Care Services, she is responsible for the day-to-day operation and professional oversight of more than 600 nursing personnel. She joined the Hampton VAMC in November 2011 as the Chief Nurse Acute Care where she was responsible for the oversight of nursing staff in the areas of Emergency Department, ICU, Med/Surg, OR/ASCU/PACU, Patient Flow Center, Utilization Management, and the Nursing Officer of the Day role.
Mrs. Lindaman began her VA career in 1987 as a staff nurse in the SICU at the Iowa City VAMC. During her 10 years in Iowa City she served in the roles of staff nurse, Surgical Unit Nurse Manager, and then Medical Unit Nurse Manager. She developed the first utilization management program for the facility. She held the role of Clinical Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa, College of Nursing, authored three publications in national nursing journals, and held the office of Secretary in the local chapter of Sigma Theta Tau; a professional nursing Honor Society.
A native of Iowa, Mrs. Lindaman holds a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Iowa. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive, Advanced; granted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, as well as certification through VHA’s National HPDM Mentor Program at the Fellow level.
