Dr. Normandin brings a lifetime of dedicated professional service to this role. Dr. Normandin has been a VA staff physician since 2007. He has worked in Primary Care, Home Based Primary Care, Hospitalist and Occupational Health. Dr. Normandin was instrumental in developing nationally recognized Compensation and Pension and Integrated Disability Evaluation System programs for Montana VA.

Prior to serving as our interim Chief of Staff, Dr. Normandin served as Associate Chief of Staff and oversaw Community Care, Referral Coordination Initiative, VA Nurse Liaisons, Medical Review Officer, Travelling Vet, Registry exams, Occupational Health, Tele-Nephrology, DEMPS exams and Clinical Surveillance Unit. He was tasked with clinical oversight for Occupational Health’s COVID response and was part of a team charged with delivering vaccines to rural Veterans by aircraft across the state of Montana.

Prior to joining Montana VA, Dr. Normandin was in private practice and worked as a Hospitalist at St. Peter’s Health Care in Helena, Montana. Dr. Normandin graduated from the University of Ulm Medial School, Germany, and completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s in Denver, Colorado. He maintains Internal Medicine board certification.
