Mr. Robert W. McKenrick was appointed as Medical Center Executive Director for NMVAHS on April 10, 2022.

Mr. McKenrick has sound leadership qualities and proven experience. He was selected to take on greater responsibility in VISN 22 after successfully serving in various executive leadership positions. He was the Deputy Medical Center Director, VA Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System (VAGLAHS), Los Angeles, CA, a Tier 1A large healthcare system serving over 80,000 Veterans and an annual operating budget of over $1 billion. Mr. McKenrick also served with distinction in Executive Director positions over Care Centers and Clinics in the Community; Strategic Facilities and Master Planning; and the Community Engagement and Reintegration Service for homeless Veterans. He has also served as the Director of the Los Angeles, CA and Philadelphia, PA Veterans Benefits Administration Regional Offices.

Mr. McKenrick is a retired U.S. Army Colonel with 27 years of active and reserve duty, to include two tours in Iraq. He has earned a Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law, Philadelphia, PA; Master of Strategic Studies, U.S. Army War College Carlisle, PA; Master of Government Administration, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA and a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, KY.
