Merideth Prevost, MD has been appointed Acting Chief of Staff, effective May 1, 2022. In this role, she oversees Academic Affairs, Ambulatory Care Service, Anesthesia, Behavioral Health Care Line, Geriatrics & Extended Care, Medicine Service, Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders, Surgery Service, Women Veterans Health Program, Community Care, Dental, Emergency Medicine, Imaging, Pathology and Laboratory, Research, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Neurology.

Dr. Prevost began her VA career as a Staff Physician in Hospital Medicine and has served as Hospital Medicine Section Chief, then Deputy Chief of Medicine. She has not only served as a healthcare leader within the Medicine Service, but has made contributions by leading multiple quality workgroups and facility wide initiatives.

Dr. Prevost holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and had a successful career in Engineering prior to earning her Doctor of Medicine from the University of New Mexico. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico. She is a graduate of the VISN 22 Leadership Development Institute, Class of 2020.
