Ms. Maixner previously served as the Administrator for the developing Fredericksburg Health Care Center. Prior to this, she held the role of Executive Assistant to the Director and Strategic Planner. Ms. Maixner worked as acting VISN 6 Strategic Planner, Administrative Officer for Primary Care and acting Practice Manager for the Charlottesville and Emporia Community-Based Outpatient Clinics. She began her VA career as an administrative resident.

As the Assistant Director, Ms. Maixner is responsible for providing oversight to the facility’s Veteran Canteen Service, Nutrition and Food Service, Prosthetics, Voluntary Service, Systems Redesign, McGuire’s Innovators Network and chairs the Organizational Health Council.

Ms. Maixner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master of Health Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is active in the Central Virginia Healthcare Executives Group and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
