As the Associate Director, Mr. Benoit is responsible for executive level oversight of the healthcare system’s Engineering, Environmental Management, Logistics, Nutrition and Food, Safety and Emergency Management, and Police services. Additionally, he serves as the organizational liaison to the Network Contracting Office, the Office of Information and Technology (OIT), and the Veterans Canteen Service (VCS). Before his appointment as Associate Director, he served as the acting Assistant Director February through June 2018. Prior to joining the BPVAHCS in August 2016 as Chief, Health Administration Service (HAS), he served as Deputy Chief, then Acting Chief, HAS for the Eastern Colorado VA Healthcare System in Denver.

Mr. Benoit began his VA career in VISN 8 as a fellow in the Graduate Healthcare Administration Training Program (GHATP) before becoming Chief of Data Quality at the Orlando VA Medical Center. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health from the University of North Florida (summa cum laude) and a Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida. Mr. Benoit is a U.S. Navy Veteran.
