Dr. Mark Hausman, Jr. is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Medical School.  He completed his training in Anesthesiology and his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan, and is board certified in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine.  Dr. Hausman joined the medical staff at the VA Ann Arbor 7 years ago, and has served in various roles including Medical Director for the Surgical ICU, Chief of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care, and Associate Chief of Staff for Ambulatory Care.  He most recently has been the Acting Deputy Chief of Staff for the healthcare system.  Dr. Hausman holds a grant to study preventable perioperative medication errors and has active research interests in anesthesia care models, perioperative patient optimization and value based healthcare delivery.
