Dr. Rowe serves as the lead physician overseeing the management of 14 clinical service lines. Her goal is to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient, timely and appropriate care with the highest professional and ethical standards. The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center and 5 community-based outpatient clinics have an annual budget of $219 million, employ more than 1,000 staff members, and proudly serve over 27,000 Veterans.

Prior to her appointment, Dr. Rowe spent 21 years in private practice as a full-time orthopedic surgeon in Altoona, PA. She has served as chief of orthopedic surgery at UPMC Altoona, a Level 2 Trauma Center. She also served as Chief of Staff at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. She has been a champion of orthopedic care and served on the board of directors of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, in addition to serving as Past President.

She was born in Hong Kong, China but emigrated to the U.S. as a small child. She grew up in Rockville, Maryland but now calls Hollidaysburg, PA her home. She received her medical degree in 1994 from Midwestern University, is board certified in orthopedic surgery and more recently, received her MBA in Healthcare Administration from Widener University with honors.
