Mr. Talamante came to VA ECHCS in 2019 as the Chief of Health Administration Service and has served as the Acting Assistant Director, and Associate Director. Prior to joining this team, he was Deputy Chief of Health Administration Service for the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System. Mr. Talamante joined VA at the VA San Diego Health Care System as a call center Medical Support Assistant and has held multiple positions in support of organizational operations.

Mr. Talamante graduated from San Diego State University in San Diego, California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and from National University in San Diego, California with a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. Additonally, Mr. Talamante also holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. Mr. Talamante is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mr. Talamante is a United States Marine Corps combat Veteran who served in various leadership roles in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
