Kamerath is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and currently practices in the medical intensive care unit.  Kamerath received his PharmD from Roseman University in Salt Lake City and completed PGY1 residency at the Salt Lake City VA.

Kamerath's professional experience includes four years as an emergency department pharmacist at two different facilities including a level 2 trauma center,  and 2 1/2  years as medical intensive care unit pharmacist at the Salt Lake City VA.  His preferred practice sites include critical care but Kamerath has worked as a clinical pharmacist on general medicine, neuro rehab, and Mom Baby practice sites. Kamerath was on the Residency Advisory Committee at his previous facility helping to start their residency program, and has been on the Residency Advisory Committee at the VA upon being hired as a clinical pharmacist.

He enjoys working with all learners at the VA including resident pharmacists as well as resident and fellow physicians. Outside of pharmacy, Kamerath enjoys spending time with his family, riding dirt bikes in the mountains, and spending time outside.
