Dr. Eplin is currently a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in stem cell transplant and CAR T-cell therapy at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, a position he has held since 2015. He completed undergraduate pre-pharmacy coursework at Marshall University, and obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from West Virginia University in 2011. He completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Hershel Woody Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV in 2012 and a PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2013, where he stayed post-residency as a clinical pharmacy specialist until accepting his current position at TVHS. He became board certified in oncology pharmacy in 2014. Dr. Eplin is an active member and holds several committee membership positions within Hematology/Oncology Pharmacist Association (HOPA), Association of VA Hematology Oncology (AVAHO), and American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT).

Dr. Eplin is thrilled to take on the interim role as PGY1 residency program director. He takes pride in producing residents of the highest caliber within the TVHS program and has been an active preceptor for his elective stem cell transplant rotation, as well as serving as mentor and research coordinator for many residents during his time within the program. Teaching, mentoring, and precepting the next generation of clinical pharmacy practitioners is an important and rewarding part of his career and he looks forward to continuing the legacy of this top-tier residency program.
