Ms. Knight began her VA career in 2016 as the Chief Nurse of Geriatrics and Extended Care at the Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS).

In 2018, Ms. Knight assumed the Chief Nurse of Inpatient Care Services position at ECHCS. Over the last year, Ms. Knight had the opportunity to develop and implement High Reliability Organization practices while working towards her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree focusing on Advanced Leadership in Health Care Specialization at Regis University.
Ms. Knight has over 17 years of nursing experience. Before working for the VA, Ms. Knight held several leadership roles, including Regional Director of Clinic and Home Care Services and Assistant Director of Nursing. In addition, Ms. Knight supports lifelong learning and professional development and will often teach leadership courses for nursing programs.
