Research focus in developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) approaches and agile computing infrastructure systems for the purpose of discovery and data integration applicable to precision medicine, with a specialty in using natural language processing for the identification of social determinants of health in the medical record. Dr. Frey has extensive experience working with virtual machine deployments in hospital system networks using an infrastructure as code architecture and in big data technology deployed within the Veterans Affairs (VA).
