Dr. Adrian Dollarhide is the Acting Chief of Staff of the VA San Diego Healthcare System, effective July 1, 2022. He has served as the Deputy Chief of Staff at the VA San Diego Healthcare System from May 2019 through June 2022.

Dr. Dollarhide graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Princeton University in 1991. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine in 1995. Dr. Dollarhide continued to complete his internal medicine residency training and served as a chief medical resident at UCSD in the internal medicine residency training program.

Dr. Dollarhide has served as a Primary Care provider at VA San Diego Healthcare System since 1999. He has served clinically as the medical lead for the Mental Health-Primary Care integration clinic and also in a multi-disciplinary Hepatitis C treatment clinic. Dr. Dollarhide's administrative roles have included serving as the Director of the Procedure Center, the chair of the Procedure and Anesthesia Care Council, and more recently as the HRO Champion for the VA San Diego Healthcare system. He also serves on the UCSD Department of Medicine Committee on Advancement and Promotion and the UCSD Department of Medicine Residency Recruitment Committee. Dr. Dollarhide is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSD. In addition, Dr. Dollarhide is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP).
