With her VA career starting in 1994, Ms. Tramont has nearly 30 years of experience working with a diverse group of Veterans and staff. Prior to her detail as the acting associate director for patient care services and nurse executive for VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System, Ms. Tramont served as the associate nurse executive for inpatient nursing and the acting deputy nurse executive at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System in Las Vegas.
Ms. Tramont has more than 12 years in health care leadership, including acute, critical and outpatient care, as well as leadership in mental health, interventional procedures and professional development environments. Her style is founded on the high reliability organization and shared governance principles. She completed a national nursing project related to emergency preparedness and led local standardized process development and implementation for care in the community.
Ms. Tramont is currently a candidate for a doctorate in nursing practice at the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada. In 2006, she earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix. In 1989, she finished her bachelor's in nursing from the University of Texas in San Antonio, Texas. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Development Institute and maintains a national nurse executive certification.
