Information

Tampa VA Main Hospital, Outpatient Clinics and Services to include COVID-19 drive-thru vaccinations will be closed or suspended in advance of Hurricane Ian Wednesday, September 28, and Thursday, September 29.

Out of an abundance of caution, and for the safety of employees and Veterans, we will suspend surgeries and other procedures with the plan to reopen as soon as the hurricane has passed, and it is safe to do so.

The Domiciliary and Polytrauma Transaction Rehab inpatients will move to Flamingo Way.

The Emergency Department will remain open Wednesday, September 28, and Thursday, September 29. A decision to remain open on Friday, September 30, will be made Wednesday. If Veterans experience a medical emergency, they should call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest open emergency room. For non-urgent medical care Veterans can contact the VISN 8 Clinical Contact Center at 1-877-741-3400.

Veterans experiencing a medial or psychiatric emergency should call 9-1-1 or visit the nearest open emergency room.

VA Health Connect (also known as the VISN 8 Clinical Contact Center) 1-877-741-3400 is operational 24/7 to provide Veterans with virtual care and support.
