What you should know about intimate partner violence (IPV):

Early intervention is key

Intimate Partner Violence can be emotional, psychological, physical or sexual. It can happen to anyone. IPV does not discriminate and can occur regardless of gender or sexual identity. VA understands and will respond by emphasizing physical and emotional safety.

The Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program’s mission is to create a recovery-oriented assistance program for Veterans, their families and caregivers and VA employees who use or experience intimate partner violence.

If you may be experiencing IPV, help is available.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233.

Jaquay Robinson is our Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program Coordinator and can be reached at 706-733-0188, ext. 32256.

Ms. Robinson coordinates with VA and community services, including domestic violence shelters, throughout our catchment area, including Athens, Aiken and Statesboro.
