Daniel J. Caufield was appointed as the Associate Director (AD) for Montana VA Health Care System (MTVAHCS) on Nov 18, 2019.

Mr. Caufield has 11-years in the Veterans Health Administration with assignments as the Ambulatory Care Operations Director / Group Practice Manager for the Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System, which included a three-month detail as Associate Director.

Prior to that assignment, he was the Compliance Officer for the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System and Administrative Officer for Mental Health Care Line. He worked two-and-a-half years as a Health Facilities Surveyor for the State of Alaska after retiring from the United States Air Force.

His 26-years in the Air Force included tours of duty in Singapore, Germany, Alaska, Arizona, California, New Hampshire and Saudi Arabia with multiple deployments. Mr. Caufield completed his bachelor’s degree in Science and Master’ Degrees of Arts while on active duty and is currently enrolled at the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at ASU.

Mr. Caufield is a Fellow with the American College of Health Care (FACHE) and certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC).
