Dr. Stephanie Coleman-Newton is a women’s health and family nurse practitioner with over 25 years of nursing experience.  She has been with the Dallas VA Medical Center since 2005 and recently transitioned from gynecology surgery to nursing academia.

Her specialty is in complex reproductive women’s health and as a surgery first assistant. 

Dr. Newton completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Prairie View A&M University School of Nursing in 1996 and earned her Master of Science degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA in 2009.  She holds two national board certifications, Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner from UTSW and Post-Masters Family Nurse Practitioner certification from George Washington University. 

She recently completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama, May 2020.
