Ms. Nanci Chalquest was appointed the Interim Nurse Executive / Associate Director of Patient Care Services on August 1st, 2022. 
 

Nanci Chalquest graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing and a received her master's degree in nursing from University of Phoenix. She has worked in a variety of settings for over 25 years, including acute care, surgical intensive care, obstetrics, education, primary care, mental health, and most recently, community care. 

She has also filled the leadership roles of nurse manager, nursing supervisor, quality manager, and most recently, Chief of Community Care. Nanci moved to sunny Arizona in 2004 from Buffalo, New York where she lived for 8 years. 

She has worked at the Northern Arizona VA since 2009. Nanci is also a U.S. Army Veteran, having served as a Radio Teletype Operator at Fort Hood, Texas, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia and Camp Casey, South Korea. She has 2 children and six sisters who live all over the country.
