Sean Hinds is the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)/Department of Defense (DoD) resource sharing coordinator for VA Pacific Islands Health Care System. Hinds is responsible for the VA Pacific Islands Joint Venture programs with Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI, and Naval Hospital Guam. The sharing agreements at both DoD locations focus heavily on specialty medical care, acute and intensive care units, surgery, and emergency room services.
Before his current role, Hinds served as the chief, safety and emergency management at VA Central California Health Care System in Fresno, CA. Hinds previously served on details as the acting associate director and acting chief, public affairs at the Fresno VA. His work experience includes the executive assistant to the director and chief of staff. He served as the local coordinator for the 2004 National Veterans Golden Age Games and is a Veterans Administration Leadership Development Institute graduate.
Hinds holds a degree in business administration from California State University, Fresno, and a certified healthcare safety professional certification. While his family moved often growing up, he spent most of his time in California’s Central Valley. In addition, he is a proud Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard
