Dr. Baumer started her VHA career as a pharmacist at the Memphis VA Medical Center in Tennessee, and she also practiced pharmacy at the VA St. Louis Health Care System in Missouri.  Most recently she served as the Associate Chief, Pharmacy Operations at the Memphis VA Medical Center after serving as the Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisor.  During her time at the Memphis VA Medical Center, Dr. Baumer also served in acting roles including the Chief Logistics Officer and Executive Assistant to the Medical Center Director. 

Dr. Baumer is a native of Metamora, Michigan.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Hillsdale College and her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Michigan. She is a 2015 graduate of the VISN 9 Leadership Institute and a 2017 graduate of the VHA Health Care Leadership Development Program.
