Roestenburg grew up in Utah and received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Westminster College. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Montana Skaggs School of Pharmacy in Missoula, Montana in 2013.

Roestenburg completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at Utah Valley Hospital with Intermountain Healthcare, and her PGY2 psychiatric pharmacy residency was completed in Salt Lake City, Utah at the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs. She currently is working with addiction medicine services and the Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program at VA Salt Lake City. Other interests include traveling the world, rock climbing, and biking.
