Dr. Nakamoto is a Board-Certified Prosthodontist and Clinical Professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Science at UCSF. His main interests are treating complex Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Removable Prosthodontics. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and completed his Prosthodontic training at the University of Missouri. He completed Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He served over 20 years as Director and Assistant Director of the San Francisco VA Prosthodontic Graduate Residency and other VA programs. Currently, he is teaching the Prosthodontic and General Practice Residents in complex Maxillofacial and removeable prosthetics at the SFVA clinics.
