In this capacity he is charged with the overall leadership responsibility for Medical Administration Service, Patient Administration Service, Prosthetics, Logistics, and Fiscal to include the $1.35 billion FY22 budget.  Moreover, he also has administrative oversight of the new Northwest Health Care Center, Kerrville Campus and dotted line responsibility for Human Resources and Contracting.

His VA experience includes serving as Assistant Medical Center Director at VA Eastern Kansas overseeing operations in Business Office, Environmental Management, Education, Nutrition and Food, Chaplain, Prosthetics, Police, Experience, Voluntary, and Canteen.  He completed a detail as Associate Director at VA Chillicothe providing oversight in the areas of Fiscal, Engineering, Human Resources, Voluntary, Fire Department, Police, Nutrition and Food, Environmental Management, Education, Emergency Management, Safety, Canteen, and IT. He previously served as Group Practice Manager at VA Saginaw in Michigan.  Other previous experience includes serving as Deputy Chief of Health Administration Service at VA Ann Arbor and Health System Specialist at VISN 10/11 Network Office.    

Mr. Peters completed Graduate Health Administration Training Program, VISN Leadership Development Institute, Health Care Leadership Development Program, and Executive Training Orientation at VA Central Office.  He graduated from Rochester College, a Christian Liberal Arts College with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Theology.  He holds an Master of Public Health (MPH) from Bowling Green State University & University of Toledo and completed a Graduate Certificate from the U.S. Naval War College.  He is board certified in Healthcare Management and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. 

He is married to Bethany Peters and they have two children.  Mr. Peters is a Navy Veteran having served as a dental technician and hospital corpsman and currently serves as a medical service corps officer in the Navy Reserve.
