Ms. Andrea Hayes previously served as the White City VA Office of Community Care (OCC) Service Chief. Ms. Hayes joined White City VA after a year of service as the Nurse Manager for OCC at VA Puget Sound. Prior to her roles in the VA, Ms. Hayes served in the federal government system as a Public Health Analyst at Health and Human Services in the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, division of Quality and Safety where she worked on the integration of behavioral and physical health, regulation development, coalition building, and reform. She also served as a Health Analyst at Headquarters Marine Corps, Marine and Family Services where she oversaw development of policies and programs that impacted Marines and their families worldwide. Prior to her service as a civilian in the federal service she worked as a home visiting nurse and in hospital settings such as the progressive care unit/ cardiac care unit and the Emergency Department.
Andrea received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from George Mason University and her Master of Public Health degree from the American Military University. She is the daughter of a Marine and served herself in the Air Force, as an Air Evacuation Medic.
