We apologize. In several areas, we are not meeting the standard for prompt service on the telephone. We understand waits can be long, and we know that when you hang up it’s most likely because we made you do so.
We use call centers in high volume areas so our health care staff can see Veterans, and this means in most cases we are unable to connect you with care team members directly. Our call center staff work as quickly as possible, but the pandemic has challenged us with hiring enough of them to meet demand, and of course the virus impacts us as well.
