She has program responsibility and accountability for the development and oversight of Nursing Service, Nutrition & Food Service, Sterile Processing Service, Prosthetics, Community Living Center and Compensation and Pension.

Ms. Friday received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Nursing Community Health, Cum Laude in 2004. She subsequently received her board certification as Nurse Executive-Advanced in 2004. At present, Ms. Friday is enrolled at Drexel University in a second Masters Degree program for Clinical Nurse Leader with an expected graduation date of Summer 2019. Ms. Friday began her federal career by serving in the United States Air Force, retiring in 2013 after 22 years of service. During her tenure as an Air Force Officer, Ms. Friday rose through the ranks achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, an accomplishment only 1% of Air Force nurses achieve. During her Air Force career, Ms. Friday served in a variety of leadership, administrative, and clinical positions to include Chief Nurse at her final duty assignment. Her military career equipped her with exceptional leadership values, skills, and practical experience.
