Van services for Veterans

DAV vans

Hours: Individual van schedules vary

We work with Disabled American Veterans and county Veterans Affairs directors to provide transportation for Veterans and authorized caregivers to get to scheduled medical appointments.

Non-DAV van services

Many localities in the region provide other van services to Veterans.

Lodging for Patients and families

VA Maine Fisher House

Fisher House provides free high quality, temporary lodging to families and caregivers of active-duty service members and Veterans who are undergoing in-patient treatment or extended, episodic outpatient treatment through the VA at the Togus VA Medical Center campus.

The VA Maine Fisher House has 16 private suites, a shared fully equipped gourmet kitchen, a spacious dining room, an inviting family room, modern laundry room, and outdoor patio. Each of the suites come furnished with telephones, televisions and DVD players.
