There are number of free shuttles available to assist our Veteran patients in getting to and from their scheduled clinic appointments throughout the VA Maryland Health Care System.

Veteran shuttle services

To be eligible to ride any of the free shuttles, Veterans must first have a scheduled clinic appointment at the medical center or outpatient clinic they will be travelling to, and they must call in advance to make a reservation to ride the shuttle.  Family members may accompany Veteran patients for scheduled clinic appointments or when they are being released from an inpatient facility.  The shuttles are not available for family members to utilize to visit Veteran inpatients throughout the VA Maryland Health Care System.  Family members must be 16 years of age or older to accompany a Veteran patient on the shuttles.

*Ambulatory is defined as being able to get in and out of the shuttle without assistance.

Baltimore VA Medical Center to Baltimore VA Annex

No reservations are required to ride this shuttle.

Departure Locations: 

Departures are from the main lobby at the Baltimore VA Medical Center and the main lobby at the Baltimore VA Annex.

Shuttle Schedule and Type of Transportation: 

This shuttle is in service Monday through Friday.  It does not run on Saturdays, Sundays or federal holidays.

Departures are from the main lobby at the Baltimore VA Medical Center and the main lobby at the Martinsburg, WV, VA Medical Center.

This shuttle is in service Monday through Friday.  It does not run on Saturdays, Sundays or federal holidays. Departure times from the Baltimore VA Medical Center to Martinsburg, WV, VA Medical Center are estimated times because shuttle will not depart until all Veteran patients have completed their clinic appointments.

Veteran patients must call in advance to make a reservation to ride any of the free shuttles throughout the VA Maryland Health Care System.  To reserve a ride on the shuttle from the Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic to the Baltimore VA Medical Center, please call (410) 228-6243, ext. 4167, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Veteran patients are asked to call at least 48 hours in advance of their scheduled clinic appointment to schedule a ride on this shuttle.

Departure Locations: 

Departures are from the waiting room at the Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic and the main lobby at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.

Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic to Perry Point VA Medical Center

Veteran patients must call in advance to make a reservation to ride any of the free shuttles throughout the VA Maryland Health Care System.  To reserve a ride on the shuttle from the Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic to the Perry Point VA Medical Center, please call (410) 228-6243, ext. 4167, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Veteran patients are asked to call at least 48 hours in advance of their scheduled clinic appointment to schedule a ride on this shuttle.  Some of these shuttles runs are operated by VA volunteers and are subject to the availability of volunteer drivers.

Departure Locations: 

Departures are from the waiting room at the Cambridge VA Outpatient Clinic and the Outpatient Clinic (Building 361) at the Perry Point VA Medical Center.  There are also pick-ups and drop-offs at the VFW in Easton, Route 404/50, and Route 301 Welcome Center.

The park-n-ride location for the shuttle to the Baltimore VA Medical Center and the Loch Raven VA Outpatient Clinic moved to the Eastern Baltimore County VA Outpatient Clinic at 5235 King Avenue in Rosedale, MD 21237 effective February 11, 2019. 

Shuttle Information

No reservations are required for the shuttle, but ridership is based on a space available basis and is limited to Veteran patients only.

Departure Locations: 

Departures are from the parking lot of the Eastern Baltimore County VA Outpatient Clinic and the main lobby at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.

This shuttle is in service Monday through Friday.  It does not run on Saturdays, Sundays or federal holidays.

Veteran patients must call in advance to make a reservation to ride any of the free shuttles throughout the VA Maryland Health Care System.  To reserve a ride on the shuttle from the Glen Burnie VA Outpatient Clinic to the Baltimore VA Medical Center, please call (410) 590-4140 and press option 4, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Departures are from the waiting room at the Glen Burnie VA Outpatient Clinic and the main lobby at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.
