DAV vans

Hours: Individual van schedules vary

We work with Disabled American Veterans and county Veterans Affairs directors to provide transportation for Veterans and authorized caregivers to get to scheduled medical appointments.

Non-DAV van services

Many localities in the region provide other van services to Veterans.

Beneficiary travel

Beneficiary travel benefits include round-trip transportation from your home to the medical center, mileage reimbursement, or special mode transport.

Base Access Requirements

Your Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC) must be registered at the Richardson Visitor Control Center to get on base if you do not already have base access.

  • You must register your VHIC once each year.
  • The Boniface Visitor Control Center is currently closed, you must use the Richardson Visitor Control Center.
  •  If you do not already have a VHIC, call 907-257-4700 and asked to be transferred to our Eligibility office for more information.
