At the Center City Philadelphia Vet Center, our staff work in a variety of therapeutic modes, including:

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
• Psychodynamic therapy
• Client-Center Therapy
• Supportive Therapy

The South Burlington Vet Center can offer counseling and other support, such as:

• Bereavement counseling for families who have lost a loved one while they were serving on active duty
• Grief counseling
• Contact information to the Veterans Benefits Administration and National Cemetery regarding possible burial and survival benefits.  

Below is an example of an organizations we work with to provide Equine Therapy and other activities for Veterans and their families. 

• Maryland Therapeutic Riding provides at no cost to Veterans, Active-Duty Military personnel, and first responders who have been injured in the line of duty, participants work with our specialty trained horses, staff, and volunteers to gain emotional, cognitive, social and physical benefits from our equine assisted activity and a Therapy Riding Programs offered on the farm

We understand that the transition from military to civilian life can be a challenge. We offer a variety of ways to assist you in that process such as:

•           How to get VA medical benefits and register for care

•           Where to go to file claims and other forms

•           Understanding your VA education benefits

•           Housing and home loans

•           Education and referral for VA burial benefits

The Center City Philadelphia Vet Center can also connect you to Veterans Service Organizations in your community.

At the South Burlington Vet Center, we provide support to help Veterans and service members overcome underlying issues.

We can direct Veterans and service members struggling with addiction to the White River Junction VA Healthcare System, and other community outpatient or residential treatment programs. 

The Silver Spring Vet Center is offering a monthly Lunch & Learn on the third Thursday of the month at 1PM on a wide range of topics.  Topic include, but not limited to: Military Sexual Trauma(MST), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD), Substance Abuse, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Grief, Moral Injury and more.
