Jacksonville, NC Vet Center - Returning service member care
We have knowledge on a variety of federal and state benefits for Veterans, service members, and their families to include guidance regarding VA Compensation and Pension claims, retirement benefits, and survivor benefits. We understand that leaving the military can be overwhelming with many challenges, but we can provide additional information for the following resources:
- Filing a military-related disability claim
- Enrollment in the VA health care system for benefits
- Connection to employment
- Connection to education benefits
- Connection to state benefits and services
Marietta Vet Center - Returning service member care
We offer support and therapy for PTSD and PTSD-related symptoms through individual and group counseling. We can also refer you to VA or community counseling for treatment and therapy resources.
Care at our center includes:
- Individual counseling sessions customized for your individual needs related to readjustment issues
- Group counseling for Veterans of all eras as well as spouses and significant others
- Evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
We also offer several support groups.
- OIF/OEF/Gulf War support group: Mondays, bi-weekly, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET
- Anxiety management group: Mondays, bi-weekly, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET
- Mindfulness meditation: Tuesdays, weekly, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET
- Anger management group: Wednesdays, bi-weekly, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET
- Women’s support group: Thursdays, weekly, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. ET
- Men’s PTSD support group: Fridays, weekly, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET

A Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Service Officer is here Monday and Wednesday mornings by appointment. Appointments are available at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
