The Sergeant Ernest I. “Boots” Thomas VA Clinic is designed to enhance access to health care for Veterans residing in the surrounding rural areas. The VA Clinic provides a broad range of general and specialized medical, dental, surgical, psychiatric, nursing and ancillary services. Our patient population requires a complexity of care that ranges from minor health care needs to urgent care. Veterans requiring hospitalization are assessed, stabilized and transferred to either local facilities or to the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center.

Transportation services and schedules

Van services for Veterans

DAV vans

Hours: Individual van schedules vary, based on driver availability

We work with Disabled American Veterans and county Veterans Affairs directors to provide transportation for Veterans and authorized caregivers to get to scheduled medical appointments at the Lake City and Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Centers.

Non-DAV van services

Many localities in the region provide other van services to Veterans.
