Bronx Vet Center - Veteran connections
If you’re returning from military service, we’ll help you transition to civilian life. We can connect you with educational and career counseling, mental health services, and other programs and benefits that will support your transition.
We understand that the transition from military to civilian life can be a challenge. We offer a variety of ways to assist you in that process such as:
- How to get VA medical benefits and register for care
- Where to go to file claims and other forms
- Understanding your VA education benefits
- Housing and home loans
- Education and referral for VA burial benefits
The Bronx Vet Center can also connect you to Veterans Service Organizations in your community.
Bronx Vet Center - Returning service member care
The Bronx Vet Center can help you know where to go and how to register for:

Bronx Vet Center - Grief and bereavement counseling
The Bronx Vet Center can offer counseling and other support, such as:
- Bereavement counseling for families who have lost a loved one while they were serving on active duty
- Grief counseling
Bronx Vet Center - Mental health care
At the Bronx Vet Center, we offer individual and group counseling. We also provide referral services to appropriate resources in our community
Care at our center includes:
- One-on-one hour-long counseling sessions targeted at your individual needs
- Group counseling for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans, Vietnam Veterans; Spouse/Significant Others, and more
Evidence-based therapies such as:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Bronx Vet Center - Community engagement
Alexandria, VA Vet Center - Community engagement
We work closely with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, a state-wide organization that works, at no charge, to help Veterans apply for local, state, and federal benefits.
Harlem Vet Center - Couples and family counseling
Harlem Vet Center has licensed therapists who offer marriage and family counseling to Veterans and service members, both virtually and in person.
The Harlem Vet Center has counselors who can provide services such as:
- Individual counseling for couples, spouses, children and significant others
- Couples counseling
Brooklyn Vet Center - Telehealth
Brooklyn Vet Center's Telehealth Services gives you access to the care you need, when and where you need it.
