Central Oregon Vet Center - Grief and bereavement counseling
Bereavement counseling is assistance and support to people with emotional and psychological stress after the death of a loved one. Bereavement counseling includes a broad range of transition services, including outreach, counseling, and referral services to family members.
Our Vet Center offers bereavement counseling to any family members of Armed Forces personnel who died in the service of their country. Also eligible are family members of Reservists and National Guardsmen who die while on duty.

San Diego Vet Center - Grief and bereavement counseling
San Diego Vet Center offers counseling and other support, such as:
- Bereavement counseling for families who have lost a loved one during active duty
- Counseling for complicated grief reactions
San Diego Vet Center - Military sexual trauma care
San Diego Vet Center recognizes the devastating effects of military sexual trauma and is there as an expert ally providing trauma-informed and trauma-focused care as part of your readjustment and recovery journey, and can be there as an advocate helping navigate systems of care and benefits.

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
We can also help manage related symptoms such anger and insomnia.
San Diego Vet Center - Mental health care
We offer individual and group counseling. We also provide referral to VA counseling resources and therapy resources in your community. Care at our center includes:
- Evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Skills-based treatments for mastery of readjustment symptoms
- Returning service member care
The Federal Way Vet Center understands that the transition from military to civilian life can be a challenge. We offer a variety of ways to assist you in that process. We help you get VA medical benefits by assisting you with the filing process. We also work closely with VSOs that will guide you through the claims process. Housing and home loans can also be explain and assisted with.
