Ventura VA Clinic will open and begin serving Veterans on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. 

Managed directly by VA with care provided by VA clinicians and staff, this 50,000 square foot clinic represents a significant expansion of health care services available closer to home for local Veterans.  These include:

  • Primary Care
  • Mental Health Care
  • Women’s Health
  • Audiology & Speech Pathology
  • Dental Care
  • Eye Care
  • Cardiology
  • Podiatry
  • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Lab
  • Home-based Primary Care
  • Services for unhoused Veterans


The Ventura VA Clinic is located at 5250 Ralston Street, just off the 101 freeway between Victoria Avenue and Telephone Road.  It has ample parking and nearby connections to public transportation.  The clinic features a designated clinic for women Veterans with a separate entrance and waiting room – the first of its kind in the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.  

With the opening of the new Ventura VA Clinic, the Oxnard VA Clinic will close permanently on Friday, September 23, 2022.  If you receive primary or mental health care at the Oxnard VA Clinic, we will automatically transfer your care to the new Ventura VA Clinic.

Because the Ventura VA Clinic will be staffed by VA clinicians, you will be assigned a new primary care provider.  Veterans with established mental health services at the Oxnard VA Clinic will retain their mental health care provider.

What do I need to know about the Ventura VA Clinic?

Where is the new Ventura VA clinic located and what are the hours of operation?

The Ventura clinic is located at 5250 Ralston St., Ventura CA 93003, between the Victoria Avenue and Telephone Road exits from the 101.  The clinic will be open Monday-Friday from 8:00AM to 4:00PM.

When will the Ventura VA clinic open and when will the Oxnard VA clinic close?

The Ventura VA Clinic will open on September 27, 2022.  The Oxnard VA Clinic will close on September 23, 2022. 
 

I receive my care at the Oxnard VA Clinic. Will I have to do anything to move my care to the Ventura VA Clinic?

No.  We will transfer your enrollment automatically.  Veterans receiving care at one of our other VA clinics who wish to enroll at Ventura may visit the clinic in person or call us at 877-251-7295.

How will I confirm that the Ventura VA clinic is open and where my future appointments will be?

We will mail appointment cards confirming your appointment location.  We will also confirm by text message and by phone. 

I receive primary care at the Oxnard VA Clinic. Will I have a new primary care provider at the Ventura VA Clinic?

Yes.  The primary care providers at Ventura VA Clinic will be new and will be VA employees.
 

I receive mental health care at the Oxnard VA Clinic. Will I have a new mental health provider at the Ventura VA Clinic?

No.  The current mental heath providers at Oxnard VA Clinic are VA staff who will move to the new Ventura VA Clinic.

Will there be staff in the Ventura VA Clinic that can help with administrative services?

Yes.  We will have a fully staffed business office in Ventura to assist Veterans with enrollment, beneficiary travel, and VA healthcare ID cards.
