San Luis Obispo Vet Center offers individual, group and family counseling:

• Veteran Support Groups
• Activity Groups
• Trauma Focused Therapy Groups
• Skill Building Groups
• Wellness Groups 

Specialty care includes:

• Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) 

We also offer therapeutic activities such as outdoor events, workshops and BBQ's. 

San Luis Obispo Vet Center supports local Veterans through partnerships with government and community agencies. We help local organizations understand how they can collaborate with the Vet Center and other VA programs to benefit Veterans, Servicemembers and the community as a whole.

If you’re returning from military service, we’ll help you transition to civilian life. We can connect you with educational and career counseling, mental health services, and other programs and benefits that will support your transition.

Veterans and service members can have a variety of struggles when they return home from loss of connection, depression, anger, trauma and other issues. We deeply care and can offer one on one counseling and a variety of groups to address those struggles.

Groups include

• talk story/connection groups
• anger management/emotional regulation
• whole health groups like yoga, hiking, fishing and paddling
