Come on in. We can help you get to a better place. We have male and female therapists specifically trained to treat issues related to MST. While most MST work is individual, there are group options available to address MST, depression, and self care.

You are why we are here. Come in for a tune up or stay a while. We offer  Combat Support Groups, Depression Mgt Groups, Wellness Groups (mindfulness, whole health),  Recreation Groups (bowling, fishing, hiking) as well as individual, couple & family counseling.

For help with employment, we offer:

Job Club with the Alaska VHA Vocational Rehabilitation Services team on Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to noon.

The Anchorage  Vet Center is pleased to offer telehealth services to clients.  Telehealth can be advantageous for clients who:

• Desire to receive counseling services from the privacy of their own home
• Are traveling 
• Feel too ill to drive to the Vet Center but are still able to engage in counseling services

If you have lost a loved one, you do not have to go through this difficult life adjustment alone.   The Anchorage Vet Center can offer counseling and other support services, such as:

• Bereavement counseling for families who have lost a loved one while they were serving on active duty
• Grief counseling

The Anchorage Vet Center offers:

• Anger management
• Stress management
• Anxiety management
• Social support and activity engagement

Evidence-based therapies such as:

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Whole Health

A Community Contact from the Veterans Benefits Administration, is available in the Vet Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Use VERA - Home (force.com) to schedule an in-person, telephone, or video appointment.  

There is also a Veterans Service Officer on-site from the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
