At the San Jose Vet Center, we offer individual and group counseling. We also provide referral services to appropriate resources in our community
Care at our center includes:
- One-on-one hour-long counseling sessions targeted at your individual needs
- Group counseling for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans, Vietnam Veterans; Spouse/Significant Others, and more
Evidence-based therapies such as:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
North Orange County Vet Center - Grief and bereavement counseling
The Vet Center is proud to provide support for our Gold Star families that are suffering through the tragic loss of a loved one who died during active duty.

North Orange County Vet Center - Addiction and substance abuse care
The Vet Center has an excellent working relationship with the Long Beach VA Medical Center and routinely receives and sends referrals to our local medical facility and Community Base Outpatient Clinics. The Substance Abuse Treatment Program located at the Long Beach VA can be reached at 562-826-5610. Please feel free to call our office for community based referrals.
North Orange County Vet Center - Couples and family counseling
The Vet Center offers couples and family counseling to assist eligible Veterans and service members.
Our clinicians are trained in Evidenced Based Practices, such as Emotional Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method. Please call our office for further detail.

Wasilla Vet Center - Whole health
Recreational, Whole-Health, and Peer Groups at the Vet Center
Role-Playing Table-Top, Card Games, and Board Gaming Groups at the Vet Center:
- Fridays 1:30 p.m. to 4:30pm & 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Outdoor Group:
- Walking Group at the Menard Memorial Sports Center on Wednesdays 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
During Summer hours the group walks outside on the loop around the Sports Center and in the Winter or inclement weather, the group walks on the track inside the Sports Center.
Yoga:
- Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.** PLEASE CALL AHEAD TO CONFIRM AVAILABILITY **at the Wasilla Vet Center (Except 3rd Wednesday-See Below)
- Through the Veterans Yoga Project, staff from the Vet Center participate in yoga with Veterans, active duty service members, and family members at Yoga Om on Sundays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- Wounded Warrior Peer Support Group meets at the Wasilla Vet Center on the 3rd Wednesday of every month 6 :00 p.m. to 8:00pm
Eureka Vet Center - Whole health
Currently, we are offering an outdoor activity group every Friday 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Ask your counselor if you are interested.
