We provide individual and group counseling. We use supportive and evidenced-based techniques such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Skills Training and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR)

We have English and Spanish-speaking counselors available.

The Brockton Vet Center can assist you with addressing your concerns with:

  • Anxiety or stress reactions, like PTSD
  • Depression or lack of motivation
  • Sleep difficulties, including sleep problems caused by shift work
  • Anger, aggressive behavior, and reckless behaviors
  • Overuse of alcohol or drugs
  • Difficulties adjusting to civilian life following a deployment or activation

Here are some of the evidence-based treatments we offer:

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD
  • Prolonged Exposure for PTSD
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing and Relapse Prevention
  • Adaptive Disclosure for Moral Injury

Vet Center service description

Whether it is the death of a spouse, child, or parent who is a Veteran or service member, we can provide support and assistance. We offer services such as these:

  • Bereavement counseling for family members of service members who died while serving on active duty or to family members of Veterans who were receiving services at the time of their death
  • Grief counseling
  • Contact information to the Veterans Benefits Administration and National Cemetery Administration regarding possible burial 
  • Referral to a Veterans Service Officer for survival benefits

  • Bereavement counseling for families who have lost a loved one while they were serving on active duty
  • Grief counseling
  • Contact information to the Veterans Benefits Administration and National Cemetery Administration regarding possible burial and survival benefits
