We have 2 licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT) on our Vet Center team who can support you and your family.

The Arlington Vet Center has clinicians who can provide services such as:

• Individual counseling for couples, spouses, children and significant others
• Couples counseling

Veterans and service members often benefit greatly when family members are involved in the counseling process. The Spring Vet Center honors family members who support you. 

In defining family and couples, family is whomever you determine is a significant other or family member.

Play rooms are available and designed to help you monitor your child while conducting counseling sessions. Our rooms are available and designed to help you directly monitor your child through a one-way viewing window. There are games and other activities for children to enjoy as well. 

Mesquite Vet Center has licensed therapists who can provide services such as:

• Individual counseling for couples, spouses, children and significant others
• Couples counseling

Evidence-based therapy  is also available, such as

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Present Centered Therapy (PCT)

The NW San Antonio Vet Center has Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and specially trained counselors to assist Veterans and family members to create effective and practical plans for personal growth 

The Lawton Vet Center has counselors who can provide services such as:

• Individual counseling for couples, spouses, children and significant others
• Couples counseling

Couples counseling is one area in which we specialize. Our counselors have a wide range of experience and knowledge. We provide empathetic counseling services to enhance the overall mental wellness of your family. Couples counseling provides support in making necessary changes to improve the health of the relationship.

Our counselors are experts in working with children and young adults. We offer:

• Gottman method couples’ therapy

Couples and family counseling strives to examine the impact military service has on the marital and family structure as a whole.  At the Baton Rouge Vet Center this is addressed through a combination of individual, marital and family sessions. We work with you in finding ways  to improve communication skills, examine your  strengths  and build on those strengths to improve the quality of life for all. 

For aspects of family counseling or parenting classes that fall outside of our scope of practice we refer to local agencies such as Family Service of Baton Rouge Parenting Center.
