How to add a VAMC system health service

Learn how to add a standardized VAMC system health service to your system.
Health services plain language names, common conditions, and national descriptions are standardized nationally for a Veteran-centered experience. Contact VHA Digital Media with questions or feedback about health services names.
- On your homepage after logging in, click "Manage" in the top toolbar menu.
- Hover over "Content" and click "Add content."
- Scroll down to "VAMC System Health Service" and click it to open a new form.
- Click the "Service name" dropdown menu and select from the list of standardized health services. Select one that most closely matches the service you want.
- The chosen service will display in the "General service description" field, but is not editable.
- In the "VAMC system description of service" field, enter up to six bullet points with examples of this health service provided at your system. Follow the VA.gov Content Style Guide. This will appear as an expandable accordion and shouldn't be longer than four to six lines of text.
- Scroll down to the "Editorial workflow."
- Click the "Save as" menu and select a moderation state.
- Enter a "Revision log message."
- Click "Save."
